After five years of fundamental research in electronics alongside Albert Fert, 2007 Nobel Prize in Physics, Daumet operates a patented world first: the stable alloy of gold and tungsten. By alloying gold with tungsten - the metal with the highest melting point of all - we have unlocked properties previously thought impossible in metallurgy. The gold-tungsten matrix is the first proven alloy of this family. Others are in development.

Why gold-tungsten.

Performance

Tungsten's hardness reinforces gold's natural softness. The result is scratch resistance and mechanical longevity no other gold alloy reaches.

Footprint

Substituting a large share of precious metal with abundant tungsten reduces gold consumption by 70 to 90%, and with it the carbon, water and biodiversity impact of the metal you use.

Less exposure to gold price volatility. A stabilised cost model and predictable sourcing, even at industrial scale.
